Professional Biography

Colette Tebeau is the Senior Pre-Vet Academic Coordinator for the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment whose work encompasses mentoring, administrative support, recruitment, and instruction.

Ms. Tebeau's work focuses primarily on supporting the UK Pre-Veterinary Mentoring Program while meeting with freshman and sophomore students who are interested in pursuing veterinary school. Mentoring appointments are progressive covering basic veterinary school requirements and industry information, before moving into more specific suggestions and advice. Ms. Tebeau mentors pre-vet students throughout the university, regardless of major. 

As an instructor, Ms. Tebeau teaches ASC 310 - Equine Anatomy, a lecture/lab based course required for Equine Science and Management students, often recommended for Animal Sciences and pre-veterinary students alike. 

Ms Tebeau assists with the development, organization and management of Pre-Veterinary Mentoring events such as the "Incoming UK Pre-Vet Student Welcome" and the "Pre-Veterinary Experience Day" along with annual presentations by Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine and University of Georgia's College of Veterinary medicine. She currently the Chair of the KY Pre-Veterinary Advisors Committee, facilitating communication among KY pre-vet advisors, the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority, Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine.
